World Within

A condensed landscape for the CBDCentral Business District, Singapore

World Within proposes a condensed landscape inside Singapore's fast-paced CBD, where constant movement leaves little room to pause — compressing stillness and wandering into a single sequence that returns visitors to the city with renewed clarity.

Notes

Produced for the NUS Singapore Landscape Architecture Workshop, World Within condenses a natural terrain into a CBD-scale intervention — folding ground rather than adding another hard-surfaced plaza to a district that already has plenty of them.

The sequence moves visitors through compression, stillness, and wandering in turn, using topography alone — no signage, no programme — to guide people from urban intensity into a moment of reflection, then back out again.
